New Site

Hi!

Welcome to my new website.

If you’re a new visitor to my site then thank you for visiting, I hope you stick around and come back for any updates. I’m not the best photographer and I’m an even worse writer but I enjoy it and with any luck you’ll enjoy it too.

Surprisingly to me my previous blog was read by a few people from different countries across the world, so I must be doing something right. My bird photography Journal ‘Chasing Buzzards’ went down well and that series will continue on this site. Looking to add to this blogging by including photos I don’t really share across my social media pages, but do from my personal profiles. These are often my most liked photos and include steam engines. I’m not quite the train spotter but will always go to get a photo of a steam engine should one be visiting my town. The love for steam engines will come from my childhood and having the Hornby train sets (or using my dads).

Why a new website, well I’ve been with Wordpress for a few years and never really had an issue with it. The site has always worked as I wanted it too but if I wanted to add more to it (like removing their branding, adding a shop) it was always extra to pay. Some of the plug-ins were like an extra £22 per month, I’m an amateur photographer and that’s a lot of money on top of the site fees I already pay to keep the site online. I started looking at other website hosting and decided to build a new site altogether.

If you come across any issues/mistakes please drop me a message to let me know. Thanks.

Those of you who follow me on socials will have seen I have started sharing videos of my walks, some of which have been reels and some are 5 minutes videos. This is something I hope to continue with and I hope you enjoy them.

As I have got more into bird & nature photography I have changed my name on social media to match my website. The only one I haven’t changed is twitter as I rarely use that anymore. I am on Bluesky, Instagram and Facebook, which you can visit by clicking on the logo’s in my website footer. My biggest following is on Facebook but the most interactions comes from my Bluesky followers.

Anyway, that’s enough rambling on from me for my first post on my new site. I hope you like my photography and my new site.

Until next time, take care.
